Where I shop, eat, and hangout around Frederick, Maryland.
~Wegmans – I’m VERY new to the beauty that is Wegmans as there are none outside of NoVa in Virginia. It is a one-stop-shop for my house. Organic produce, decent hot-foods/prepared foods section, and discount savings on bulk purchases.
~Aldi – Vista Shopping Center. Another new find for me. If they have it and you eat it, get it from here. Best discounts all around. A good amount of organic items both fresh and processed which is what I purchase.)
~the Common Market – Local, natural foods co-op. They have the best bulk-foods section in Frederick. Just wish they would add ground black pepper to the bulk spices and I would be golden. Juice and smoothie bar, friendly staff.
~Frederick City Market – Small, grass roots, friendly, early – just how I like my markets. It’s in the city proper which gives it an urban edge, plus Dewey was one of the first Fredricktonians I met. Jo Eden’s Ginger should be your first stop.
~West Frederick Farmer’s Market – Decent selection, plus I can ride my bike there.
~MOM’s Organic Market – The name says it all. AND they have ! MOM’s is a bit of a trek for me but the great prices, very knowledgeable staff, great customer service including social media engagement, AND ground black pepper in bulk will keep me coming back.
